The only people who have forgotten about them are the mislead young people who have fallen for the red meat is bad for you pseudoscience. Or the instant gratification generations who no longer take the time to cook and rely on unhealthy processed food to survive. Most of these dishes can be made in 20-30 minutes with just a few simple healthy ingredients. If people would take the time to plan and cook their meals, not only will they eat healthier they will save money.
