In case it is not obvious, you can take that note about avocados ripening more slowly in the fridge a step further. Once an avocado hits the ripeness you want, you can store it in the fridge and it will slow the process of it over-ripening.

Putting them in a bowl with other fruits that produce high levels of ethylene gas such as tomatoes and bananas also works well. Alternatively, move to South America where avocadoes get swept off balconies like leaves.

Put the avocado in a bag, then in a fridge and place the fridge on the counter. You're welcome planet Earth.

You need to put them in the microwave for 1.5 min or 2 min.

No wonder it didn't work. 1 hour? I have done this repeated with great success for 10 MINUTES in a 200 degree oven. I am pleased with the results.

Maybe in dehydrator, for max 45 degrees, for one or two days. Aufcaurse in a naturall environment we dont have 200 degrees..

I’ve never seen an avocado ripen in the refrigerator. In my experience, if you put it in the refrigerator for even a short period of time, it becomes useless.
