Use a nut oil like hazelnut or almond, use fresh orange juice, or add in honey, leave out the salt and pepper, and replace the basil with mint. You could also use a lovely fresh goat's cheese, especially a slightly sweetened one or one that has a mildly nutty taste.

Sounds like a plan.
I'll likely use more basil leaves, but small leaves, since I like the taste more than the bigger leaves.
EDIT: Do you think that Balsamic would also compliment this?

Yes! Peaches can sub for tomatoes in many dishes. In MD, peach chili is a big deal in August (peach season).
