Hey there. Great video! I live in a townhouse here in the GTA. Was worried about a piece of charcoal dropping and starting a potential fire on the current thin piece of rubber/laminate mat style flooring. I'm looking for the same large rubber mat since I need to coverage a large area (5ftx12ft). Where did you find this from?

Do you remember what the mat is called? I was looking at Home Depot but they have different types of black rubber flooring.

Don't leave the rubber on the AZEK. Over time, the rubber can stain the PVC. (It even says so in the AZEK product guide.)

Would the rubber mat or Grill Mat support a composite deck (Trex) for a fire table (propane) application? Trex advised to use Deck Protect but it's quite expensive. Any advise would be much appreciated.

This matt will protect the deck against charcoal falling out onto the deck. Great Job in removing when done. If the matt is left down for a long time it will trap moisture underneath and stain the capping of ALL Capped Composite or PVC deck manufacturers. It wont damage the deck board but will effect the aesthetics. Best thing to do is remove the matt when done cooking. Great Job in pointing that out in video.
