For those who don't know, it is very important to let your bread cool before you cut it. It will retain its moisture better if you don't open up the crust by cutting it and being greedy for fresh warm bread.
If you should decide to cut it so you can have melted butter on your bread right away out of the oven, and then you tried to put it in a bag so it can retain its moisture you will get wet bread. Then you will have to take it out wrap it in paper towels put that back into your wet bag and let the moisture work itself back into the interior of the bread, then take out the wet paper towels later in the day. You may also have to partially closed your bag and rotate that loaf of bread, that has become problematic, so that it won't eventually mold on one side which will be the side you left it on after you took the paper towels out that is now the most moist part of the bread loaf.😅
Been there done that listen to the voice of experience, you'll be happier for it.😊 Let your bread cool, slice it, heat it up if you want melted butter on it. Or just make rolls in the first place
