I've made it several times now. You mentioned using cocoa and sugar combo in place of the cinnamon sugar combo along with orange zest. I want to make that for my quilting group. How much zest do you think? The zest of one orange? Also when I made the star bread I "painted" on a light powered glaze….so very good. Importantly would you still use the butter on each layer before you put the cocoa, sugar filling??

I used 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom, all spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger blended together. Then added that spice blend to 5 tablespoons of sugar. Turned out AMAZING!
