I am mulling over getting a mixer now. I was looking at several different makes. I appreciate the efforts made here to compare and contrast some of the well-known manufacturers, both from a quality standpoint and price. I think the smaller Kitchen Aid model that came in second in your review will suit my needs. Taking advantage of the Black Friday sales now will assure that you get a good deal. After replacing the brushes & a small pcb board in the motor area along with adding a spiral hook custom made from Europe for my Artisan I've had for 15 years, it just was time to move on. I've waited for at least 1.5 years for that 7Qt Kitchenaid to go on sale and it just never has that I've noticed, but the Pro 600 did here last week for well under $400 CDN ($0 shipping as well) so I bit the bullet on the Pro 600, I was also in the market for a particular Kenwood model but it wasn't available in Canada and really expensive otherwise. Great information as usual America's Test Kitchen.

Am I the only one noticing that she disqualified Breville because she used too high speed for kneading?😮 The machine has a clear gauge for speed, and she just ignores it.

I found a 70's Hobart KitchenAid stand mixer at Goodwill with all the attachments for $20! It's built like a tank. Mixes anything you can throw at it like a champ.
