Yummy!! Just whipped some up and used some dried cherries bc I didn’t have freeze dried strawberries…a lil extra chewiness, so good!! Thanks for putting in the hard work for us 😋
No way! I didn't even think of switching in tahini. My kids hate soynut butter. It tastes like peanut butter to me, but I have a soy intolerance and can't eat it. I'll try tahini.
I just bought a big’olll bag of whole grain rolled oats and I couldn’t think of anything other than to make oat milk and oatmeal! I’ll definitely do this, thanks
Oats are cheap, sure, but nut butter and maple syrup are not, (not the kind ur buying anyway, i know that aint no kraft peanut butter and table syrup) so that may be a barrier to making these, especially when you can get a box of granola bars for like 5-8$. I know maple syrup and nut butter wouosnt need to be bought every time, but its still a high cost barrier to move past
Chewy Granola Bars 5 cups rolled oats 4 tbsp ground flax-meal 2 cups smooth peanut butter 1¼ cups maple syrup ⅔ cup mini chocolate chips ⅔ cup freeze dried berries chopped salt to taste
To a bowl, add the oats and flax-meal, and stir until combined. Next, add the peanut butter and maple syrup. Stir until a thick "batter" is formed. Gently stir in the chocolate chips and freeze dried strawberries. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and transfer the batter to it. Using the bottom of a mug, pat the batter down until completely firm and evenly dispersed in the pan. Refrigerate for one hour to set. Once set, remove from the pan with the parchment paper, and slice into 24 pieces. Store the bars in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
You can use any nut butter or seed butter of your choice.
Everyone raging over the sweeteners when store bought granola bars have the same shit plus preservatives. Roid ragers that have a phobia of sugar… you remember how carbs work, right? In moderation, it provides energy. Also, statistically, people who do not give in to their cravings usually end up overeating later because the craving is never satisifed. Then they keep eating to indulge that desire, but because it isnt what they really wanted, they eat more until they eventually end up eating the desert anyways.
I did this but didn’t add flax or chocolate, replaced the maple syrup with honey and it was delicious, i also tried a batch with protein powder and it was yummy
I constantly ask YouTube not to show me your content because it’s so annoying. Starting a video like stop buying pre packaged things just screams privilege and ableism and no one needs that shit. If you just presented it as a yummy recipe I would be actually want to watch the video but not when you’re starting all your videos with like a weird judgement on what people are doing
Thank you so much : )
They look great! But I prefer the crunchy baked kind. Do you make those too?

Can you do honey in stead of maple syrup?
Sunflower is very inflammatory.

How long do you leave them in the fridge ??
Yay, phytates and oxalates!
Any alternative to the freeze-dried strawberries? They're so expensive
