It took me an hour to get my Joe Jr. lit (about half full of 100% maple charcoal) and after another hour with both vents 100% open it finally hit almost 250°F. It is useless. I am thinking or repurposing it as a planter. How do you get it to a cooking temp? I ended up cooking my burgers on a propane grill.
