My mom introduced me to liquid smoke back in my childhood learning to cook days. I’m wondering if it would be possible to do comparison reviews with different ones, maybe same food cooked with that being the only difference to see which brand gives best flavor, maybe? I think that would be interesting to see. 😊 Side note, I just made indoor bbq ribs not too long ago when unable to bbq outside. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of this episode, now.

Woof those look dry. No braise wrapped in foil? That sauce looks chunky, which is odd. Smoker recipes can be done in the oven too. Just add some liquid smoke. I'd add a lot more paprika to that rub to give the good red color, then bring the initial cook time down to 1.5 hours, then wrap in foil and braise for ~1.5 hours, check for tenderness (heath riles has a good method), then sauce heavily and cook uncovered for another 20 mins. Would improve this recipe dramatically IMO. Also, they didn't cover how to select ribs. Look for the thickest ones you can find, ideally with a small loin strip. The ones she has here appear to have all the loin trimmed off, which is not ideal. You can also look for thick back ribs aka baby back ribs, if they aren't too expensive.
