My ex turned me on to this delicious wonderful version of baked beans. He wasn’t much of a cook in general but when he was in the mood for comfort food he had some go to dishes and this was one of them. (And BTW, he took my original recipe right out of the cook’s country cookbook of 2016!!) But all is forgiven and I can’t recommend this dish enough!

Baked this bean casserole with a locally made smoked kielbasa. With all the spicy, hearty ingredients it was a symphony of flavor. Bridget, and Julia knocked it out of the park, again!

This recipe looks amazing! I love baked beans but we don't eat them too often. I grew up with a very sweet version of them and when I got married my husband's family had a very savory version. Turned out I preferred the savory version and never knew it was even a 'thing'! But this version! This LOOKS incredible, almost could be a main dish with all the meat in it! I can't wait to try it. Thank you Julia and Bridget!
