Aussie here – we don't have banana pudding mix here, but we do have a vanilla. I was watching the pudding and thought I wonder how it would go with vanilla pudding and not banana and there you go. Nicole said it would be better like that, so I'll be doing it, looks delicious. Thank you

If your pecan pie is runny it's because you didn't cook it long enough. Pecan pie is a custard, but because of the excess sugar, you have to cook it longer than a standard custard. The target temperature of the middle of a pecan pie is 200°F. It won't be runny.

The only celebrity who actually wrote a great cookbook is Tricia Yearwood, who wrote Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen with her mother and sister; when her mom passed the rest were written with her sister. Her cooking is a lot like Nicole's - comforting, uncomplicated, delicious. They're also mostly based on childhood dishes from both her and Garth's families, and recipes she developed to please her own family. And they all work.
