if you already have a video out of this, ignore, but I personally would LOVE a video on how to properly store, freeze & thaw different types of bread (ie traditional cut loafs of bread vs baguette etc), just a suggestion

I think the weird thing with this category is that most people buy whole wheat bread or brands like Sara Lee in order to regulate their food consumption (whole wheat for more fiber and Sara Lee is a brand known for lower calorie products). Ranking the densest bread highest begs the question: why not just buy yummy white bread? That’s not that much fiber even in whole wheat bread. It’s like testing full fat whipped cream vs low fat whipped cream and saying full fat is the Best Buy. Of course it tastes yummier, but nobody buying low fat anything is doing so because it tastes better.

The wheat has been processed and stripped of it’s goodness and has oxidized too much so the good hearty wheat flavor is not even the same. Not to mention all the additives they put back in to try and replace what has been milled out. Hence the bitter stale taste.
