Parmesan isn't a good hard cheese, it's just an easily available hard cheese. If you're gonna make people get a specific high-quality hard cheese imported from Italy, they should get Pecorino Romano.

We just made the traditional garlic bread recipe. At the end it tasted like it needed salt. We used the unsalted butter, and added no salt per the recipe. Did I miss something? I guess "salt to taste" is always on the table. Just curious if Joshua likes it low salt?
Another question: it was not clear whether to put the butter on all the cut edges or just one. It looked like the butter mix was only added to one side. I buttered all the cut sides 😃. However, I think we lost some browning/crunchiness. The next time I will only butter one side. Generously, to be sure.
