Serves 4–6 pax (depending on whether it’s enjoyed as a main dish or alongside other dishes.)

INGREDIENT LIST

For the Beef:
520g (18.34 oz) beef chuck tender, cut into 2.5cm or 1 inch cubes
About 10–20g (0.35–0.71 oz) plain flour, for dusting

Other Ingredients:
1 large yellow onion, finely diced
4 garlic cloves, chopped
200ml (6.76 fl oz) red wine
4 tbsps tomato paste
1½ tsps ground black pepper
2 tsps mixed Italian herbs
750ml (25.36 fl oz) beef broth
2 bay leaves
2 tbsps Worcestershire sauce
300g (10.58 oz) carrots, cut into chunks
500g (17.64 oz) potatoes, cut into chunks
1½ tsps salt
