No drill needed I'd you simply pour the shaken drink through a strainer. We use the ones that fit tuna fish cans

Great idea, but may I suggest just getting a "Cocktail Strainer". If you do then you wont need to drill at all; also, they are very inexpensive. I once got a bar set from The Christmas Tree Shoppe for $5, that had a strainer, knife, zester, bottle opener, & holding rack.

That may be the dumbest "tip" I've ever seen. Screw on lids? Changing lids? Have you ever been in a bar? Just use a cocktail strainer. You can get a simple shaker cup & mixing glass for what you'd spend on jars & lids.

Ditch the drill, ditch changing lids, get a julep strainer. Such a waste of time and life. How much simpler could a boston shaker and julep strainer be?

Buy the time you find ( if you can afford one) a drill with drill bits you could go to the mall and BUY a cocktail shaker that ACTUALLY works like a cocktail shaker…because it IS a cocktail shaker. Cocktail shakers are no longer for the wealthy or well-to-do.
