Why not just freeze them in a cooking tray individually, and then placing them in a zip bag after they are frozen for storage? Isn't that a bit of a waste of money, paper, and time?

All you have to do is separate them after cooling them for a few hours in the dredge put them on a freezer bag and good to go same for corn or flour!

thanks! what i did was that i didnt cut the paper so it kinda just zigzags thru the tortillas. so that i can use the paper later for baking

I'm going to try this with corn tortillas. But no way am I separating each one. I'll do every 4, I think. That's about as many as I would need in a day or two.

I started using the plastic bags that the wraps are sold-in and each bag gives me 2 x separating squares for the freezer. It works well for me cos I mostly just want to defrost one wrap at a time; I really like a wrap in the morning with egg, fresh spinach and mushrooms in it.
