A caution, however, about the glass carafe. It is heavy and for most women hard to grasp with one hand. USE BOTH HANDS to take it out of the fridge. The last thing you want is for it to slip and shatter on the kitchen floor. Not only do you have to clean up all the glass shards , but you will also have sticky coffee concentrate EVERYWHERE. The voice of experience here. Use both hands. This stuff is great not only for coffee, but also for recipes where you add in coffee (like chocolate things). For long road trips, Excellent. A friend makes "toddy espressos" when we travel. A couple of ounces of the concentrate and your favorite adds (cream, milk, whatever). No stopping for over roasted Starbucks. And it is so tasty.

We stopped using it because of the cost of coffee. You use a pound of coffee then add the water. Can’t get near as many cups of coffee as you can making it another way. The cost per cup is too high.
