Butane is a VERY EXPENSIVE FUEL FOR THE AMOUNT OF COOKING

Those 1 lb propane canisters are designed to be at the angle at which the short hard metal connector puts them. So while the hose connector may feel safer or better, it’s actually preferable to have the hard attachment that puts the propane bottle at the correct angle.

When your home has lost power and it’s below freezing outside for several days, the gas burner isn’t a good option.
Since it needs a ventilated area, I guess cook in the garage?

I want an electric burner to help lower gas usage as natural gas prices skyrocket during winter months. That Imusa sounds great. Thanks for the info.

Induction burners are great for outdoor summer time cooking, e.g. steaming corn on the cob or the no oven steamed chocolate cake, to reduce the load on your a/c. When steaming items, the smaller induction coils aren't a drawback.
