I have a question. My oven is old and I can only control wether it heats from the top or the bottom. I can't control and see the temperature. I bought an external oven thermometer which really helped, but the heat is too strong when I turn on both top and bottom heat.

Would it be okay to bake 7 minutes on the top and 7 minutes on the bottom with both being 475°F? I sadly have to open the oven door if I want to reduce the temperature to 350. Also sorry for my bad English haha

my first time making an apple pie. This recipe is on 🎯 point. I just used a couple of drops of vanilla extract. Also brushed a little egg wash on the inside of the pie before putting the apples in. 💯👍🏾 375 for 50-60 minutes.
