Also fun fact, parchment paper works quite well as origami paper. Getting it to a square shape is the tricky part, but once you're there it folds quite well

If parchment does everything that wax paper does, plus it is reusable and can take high temp, why keep waxed paper on hand?

The difference is that wax paper is useless and parchment can do everything it does

Wax paper is plastic, when researching microplastics I found that most waxes are synthetic polymers which is part of the microplastic pollution that we are learning is so harmful. Use parchment, why use wax at all?

wax paper is useless imo. better off getting parchment only.

I’m old enough to remember when Mom used waxed paper how we use plastic wrap now. I’ve been trying to use the waxed whenever possible to cut down on plastic wrap because, well, plastic.

My parchment paper gets burn marks at high temps 400 degrees in my toaster oven. I’m not sure it’s because of the small confined space.

Love my parchment paper. I use it where others might use wax paper so I only really need the parchment (for the most part)
