Durability is why I buy Yeti. You can buy a Yeti and be rest assured it's going to last. Of course, there are issues with all brands, but its very likely your Yeti will outlast you.

the trapped air comment isn't necessarily true. It depends on the insulative properties of the solid material. For example, blown PU has a higher R value than air, making it more insulative. This is why yeti's are so heavy, because the less air (more dense and heavier), the more insulative they'll be. This is the first time I've seen false info on ATK and I'm honestly a little disappointed.

They should have added the Pelicans are 100% made in USA (YETIs are not), and come with a lifetime warranty compared to YETI's 5 years. Better (way easier) latches in the Pelican. Also, the Pelican has accessories that the YETI does not.

I love my Coleman roller cooler! I purchased a Yeti and resold it, it was much too heavy for me and difficult to tote around. The roller cooler has been perfect for camping and beach trips.
