I’ve had their brisket and honestly I didnt like it. Their history is what draws ppl in. If this was to open today it wouldn’t last a month. Craft bbq is another lvl of good!

Wooow! Beautiful story. And after seeing the difference from a rotisserie from a offset and smoking thousands of meats and birds I am convinced now the rotisserie is a bad boy to get money 💰 also. Congratulations fellas keep building!!

I lived in Lockhard while I was in elementary school. I attended Plum Creek Elementary. My teacher's name was Mr. Royal. I don't remember what grade I was in, maybe 3rd-5th grade area. We used to take "Field Trips" to Smitty's BBQ with a few other teachers and their classes. It was an experience that I have remembered throughout my entire life and has fostered a passion for great BBQ. I'm 37 now and live about an hour away. We're heading to Smitty's this weekend so I can take my kids for the first time. Thank you, Mr. Royal, for introducing me to Smittys!

I just found your channel, the first video, Valentina's, the second M&M. I like your story telling. I lived in Lockhart back in the mid '80s when I was kid. I don't remember much but I remember being there in Lockhart for Texas' sesquicentennial and all the happenings around the courthouse, even then that town had a lot of history. I was too young to remember which bbq we ate at but I remember the sausage. I never had it again after we left Lockhart but I never forgot it.
