I have a Weber Summit which I bought circa 2008-9. Some of the components had started to show their wear about the onset of the pandemic. Contacted Weber and they sent me essentially everything I needed to rebuilt the grill (firebox, burners, IR unit, etc, etc) at no cost under warrenty. I'll get 20 years out of that grill for about the $1,500 that I paid for it originally. I really can't think of a better value.

I have the Napoleon Pro 665, bought before covid, couldn't be happier with this grill.

I can do pizza's in it, the rotisserie is amazing 2 chickens at once comes out flawlessly (just remember your drip tray), smoking is decent having a solo smoker as well to compare too. Easily gets up to 700+ degrees, side infrared burner absolutely rocks. The fully welded deep 304 stainless steel fire box, heavy burner tubes, flame tamers, heavy grates and double steel lid not only holds up to the heat, but come -30 outside with wind maintains it. I Cook all year round!

Very solid construction. I take it apart 2 times a year, take everything (other than the bbq) to a pressure washer bay to clean spring and fall we use it so much.

No batteries for lights, plug in a cord. That's your igniter, lights and has another outlet on the back for your rotisserie motor.

Absolutely beautiful machine.

Weber makes their Genesis line in Illinois. I had one in Chicago, it lived outside. Cooked on it year round in rain and snow for 15 years. After all that time i was able to get new grates, flavorizers, and knobs to make it like new to pass it on to my brother and it’s been going strong 3 years since then. I will never buy anything else, skip the gimmicks of the Summit line and stick with the Genesis line, they even have stainless options and you can get a grill for less than $1500 that will last decades if cared for. Buy bluetooth probes if you really have to, if these off brand grills can last a decade i guarantee those goofy screens won’t.
