I use sangria instead of port when I'm making a balsamic glaze for meat. Then I'll add in some pulverized fruit depending upon what meat or dish I'm making.

Any time I’m making soup, I add some vinegar. And any time a dish tastes too bland but I can’t figure out what it needs – it needs vinegar. Don’t think I could cook without it!
