मोदक रोल बनवण्यासाठी लागणारे साहित्य
• १ १/२ कप पाणी
• १/२ चमचा मीठ
• १ चमचा साजूक तूप
• १ १/२ कप तांदळाचं पीठ
• १ चमचा साजूक तूप
• काजूचे तुकडे
• बदामाचे तुकडे
• १ कप खोवलेलं ओलं खोबरं
• १/२ कप गूळ
• वेलची पूड
• पिस्त्याचे काप

Ganapati bappa is comingto out home. So we make their favourite recipe modak. Making modak rather giving them that shape is not an easy job. So for those who are not so good at making perfect modak hear is the recipe for you, modak roll. So far we have seen lot many modak recipes like 2-3 typs of ukadiche modak, chocolate modak, panchkhadya modak etc. These modak roll look nice and taste just awesome. Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 cup Water
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• 1 tsp Ghee
• 1 1/2 cup Rice flour
• 1 tsp Ghee
• Chopped Cashew nuts
• Chopped Almonds
• 1 cup grated fresh Coconut
• 1/2 cup Gudh / Jaggery
• Cardamom powder
• Sliced Pistachios

Method:
• Heat up water in a pan and add salt, ghee. When water comes to boil add rice flour and mix in
quickly.
• Turn off the gas and cover the pan.
• Rest the ukad for about 10 minutes.
• For making stuffing, heat up a pan on medium heat and add ghee.
• When ghee is a little hot add almonds, cashew nuts and roast them a little.
• Add fresh coconut and fry a little for about 3-4 minutes.
• Add gudh and mix well. Fry well until gudh melts and add cardamom powder.
• You can add nutmeg power, poppy seeds if you want.
• Mix well and stuffing is ready. Let it cool down completely.
• Transfer the ukad into a dish and knead it really good.
• Take small portion from ukad and make it smooth and even.
• This is a very important stop. Sprinkle some rice flour in rolling board and put the dough ball
on it.
• Roll it carefully into thin chapatti and spread stuffing on it.
• Lift chapatti from one end and make a roll like the one we make for aluchi vadi.
• Grease a dish with oil and place roll on it.
• Steam the roll on medium heat for about 10 minutes.
• Turn off the gas and let them be in the steamer for another 10 minutes.
• Take the roll out and cut them into pieces.
• Modak roll are all ready. Garnish with some pistachios slices.
