** For deep frying Onion **
Refined Cooking Oil (എണ്ണ) – ½ Cup
Onion (സവോള) – 5 Nos (Medium size) – 600gm
Salt (ഉപ്പ്) – ½ Teaspoon

** For Fish Biryani Masala **
Ghee (നെയ്യ്) – 3 Tablespoons
Cardamom (ഏലക്ക) – 4 Nos
Cloves (ഗ്രാമ്പൂ) – 8 Nos
Cinnamon Stick (കറുവപ്പട്ട) – 3 Inch Piece
Mace (ജാതിപത്രി) – a little (Optional)
Garlic (വെളുത്തുള്ളി) – 10 Cloves
Ginger (ഇഞ്ചി) – 2 Inch Piece
Green Chilli (പച്ചമുളക്) – 5 No
Tomato (തക്കാളി) – 4 Nos (400 gm)
Salt (ഉപ്പ്) – 2½ Teaspoons
Turmeric Powder (മഞ്ഞള്‍പൊടി) – ¼ Teaspoon
Kashmiri Chilli Powder (കാശ്മീരി മുളകുപൊടി) – 1½ Tablespoon
Garam Masala (ഗരം മസാല) – 1½ Teaspoon
Crushed Black Pepper (കുരുമുളക് ചതച്ചത്) – 1½ Teaspoon
Hot Water (ചൂടുവെള്ളം) – 1 Cup (250 ml)
Fish (മീൻ) – 1 kg (Cleaned)

** For cooking the rice **
Ghee (നെയ്യ്) – 3 Tablespoons
Refined Cooking Oil (എണ്ണ) – 2 Tablespoons
Cardamom (ഏലക്ക) – 5 Nos
Cloves (ഗ്രാമ്പൂ) – 8 Nos
Cinnamon Stick (കറുവപ്പട്ട) – 4 Inch Piece
Mace (ജാതിപത്രി) – a little (Optional)
Water (വെള്ളം) – 7½ Cup (1.85 Litre)
Salt (ഉപ്പ്) – 2¾ Teaspoon
Lime Juice (നാരങ്ങാനീര്) – 1½ Teaspoon
Kaima Rice (Jeerakasala Rice) – 5 Cups (1 kg)
Chopped Mint Leaves (പുതിന ഇല) – ¾ Cup
Chopped Coriander Leaves (മല്ലിയില) – ¾ Cup

** For garnishing **
Chopped Mint Leaves (പുതിന ഇല)
Chopped Coriander Leaves (മല്ലിയില)
