↪️ Here’s the simple recipe:
• Ingredients:
✓ Chicken Strips – 500 gm
✓ Thick yogurt – ½ a cup
✓ Oil – 2 tbsp
✓ Garlic powder – 1 tsp
✓ Ginger Powder -1 tsp
✓ onion powder – 1 tsp
✓ Cumin powder – ½ tsp
✓ coriander powder – ½ tsp
✓ garam masala powder – 1 tsp
✓ Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
✓ Tandoori masala – 1 tbsp
✓ Salt as per taste
✓ Vinegar – 2 tsp
✓ Food colour (optional)- few drops
✓ Coal for smoke
• For outer coating:
✓ All purpose flour – 1 cups
( Add Salt, chilli powder – 1 tsp, chaat masala – ½ tsp, black pepper powder – ½ tsp, chicken stock – 1 cube)
✓ Eggs – 2(add Salt & tandoori masala for seasoning)
✓ crushed cornflakes – 2 cups
• Instructions:
✓ Cut the chicken into strips.
✓ In a large bowl, combine thick yogurt, oil & all the mentioned ingredients.
✓ Add the chicken strips & coat them evenly in the marinade.
✓ Place the hot coal in a bowl, drizzle a few drops of oil over the coal to produce smoke, cover the bowl.
✓ Marinade it for 30 minutes.
✓ Prepare the Outer Coating:
• In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with all mentioned ingredients.
• In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with salt and a pinch of tandoori masala for seasoning.
• In another shallow bowl, place the crushed cornflakes.
• Dip each marinated chicken strip into the flour mixture first, then into the egg wash & finally coat it with the crushed cornflakes.
• Press gently to make sure the coating sticks well.
• Heat oil, fry the coated chicken strips in batches until golden brown and crispy.
