Ingredients Used:
✅ Oil – as needed
✅ Mustard seeds
✅ Urad dal
✅ Cumin seeds
✅ Curry leaves
✅ Dry Red Chilli – 2
✅ Asafoetida – a pinch
✅ Small onions (chopped)
✅ Tomato (chopped)
✅ Salt – as needed
✅ Sambar powder – 1 tsp
✅ Drumstick leaves powder – 1 tbsp
✅ Tamarind water – as needed
✅ Cooked rice – as needed
Method:
🔹 Step 1: Prepare the Base
1️⃣ Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds, curry leaves, dry red chilli, and asafoetida.
2️⃣ Add chopped small onions and tomatoes, sprinkle salt, and sauté well.
🔹 Step 2: Add Spices & Tamarind Water
3️⃣ Once tomatoes turn soft, add sambar powder and drumstick leaves powder.
4️⃣ Cook on a low flame for 2 minutes.
5️⃣ Pour tamarind water and let it boil for 5 minutes.
🔹 Step 3: Mix with Rice
6️⃣ Add this flavorful mix to hot cooked rice and combine well.
