  1. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here today ❤
    Recipe: Corned Beef and Cabbage
1 corned beef brisket, 3-5 lbs
    Water
    1/2 green cabbage, roughly cut
5 large carrots, peeled and cut into large chunks
2 lbs red potatoes, cut into chunks
Place the corned beef into a slow cooker fat side up. Sprinkle the seasoning packet that comes with the corned beef over the top. Pour enough water in the slow cooker so the corned beef is half way covered with water (not all the way covered) cover with a lid and cook on LOW for 8 hours
1 1/2 hours before the time is up add the cabbage, carrots, and potatoes into the slow cooker. Continue to cook until the time is up and the vegetables are tender.
Slice the roast against the grain for best results

  2. My mom made The best corned beef for Easter dinner. I'm a pretty good cook, but for life of me I've never been able to make a tender corned beef! I gave up! I've tried oven, stove, and slow cooker. Always tough. I don't know what I do wrong

  3. Need a beer for a liquid added flavor. Guinness as many do or even an American Lager is okay.
My dad always said, on St Patrick’s Day, it is called; corned beef and cabbage. All other days of the year, we called it boiled dinner. In our house celery was a must add veggie along with potatoes, carrots and a big amount of cabbage.

  4. My poor daughter will never know cabbage is a normal part of St Patty’s day, I have a life-threatening cabbage allergy, but I’m definitely using this recipe this year, just omitting the cabbage! Thanks Julia! ❤

  5. This is so crazy to see.
My aunt and I went to Kingsoopers today and they had corned beef on sale. 5lbs for $6.00! Right!?

We didn't know how to make it but I looked it up on Google, then here you are.
    Alright then woman.
    Thank you.
Oh, it was just meat to me because my 29 year old son came back to live with me and he is a carnivore.
    Not St.Paddy day.

  6. This is my favorite meal my mom used to make it all the time back when corned beef was cheaper than it is now of course
It was the poor person's meal. Now it's become such a hot commodity that they jacked up the price.
I can't wait to make it for Saint Patrick's Day
