Yummy chilli chicken recipe. Inspired from veenas curry world

Ingredients

Chicken Breast – 800 gm

Capsicum – 1/2cubed

Onion – 1 Big cut into cubes

Onion – 1 finely chopped Chilli paste 1 tsp

Spring onion 1 tbsp

Soya Sauce – 2to 3 tbsp

Vinegar – 1/2 tsp

Tomato Ketchup – 2 tbsp Green chilli – 6-10(according to the spice level of your

green chilly)

Garlic chopped 8 cloves

Ginger chopped – 1 inch

Oil for frying

Sesame oil – 1tsp (optional)

Sugar – ½ tsp

To marinate

Soya sauce 2 tbsp

Corn Flour 3 tbsp

Maida -2tbsp

Egg-1

Vinegar – ½ tsp

Salt

Pepper- 1 tsp

Water

Method

Wash the chicken thoroughly in curd and salt. Keep it for 1 hour in the curd so that the chicken softens and there is no smell too. Cut the chicken into small pieces. To marinate the chicken we need to take a bowl add cornflour, maida and pepper powder. Mix well. Add the egg. Mix well. Add the soya sauce mix. Then add very little salt. Add little water and make the batter. Add the chicken pieces and marinate it well in this mixture. Keep it in the fridge for 20-25 mins. Heat a wok and add oil for frying the chicken. Don’t fry for a long time. Once we see that chicken is done remove from the fire. Take a heavy bottom pan keep it on medium to high flame. Add oil add the ginger and garlic. Saute that well. Add the finely chopped onion. Saute well. Add the celery .Mix .Then add few spring onion. Then add the chilli paste. Saute till the raw smell goes. Add soya sauce, ketchup and vinegar and sugar.Saute well. Add some hot water. Taste the spices and salt. Accordingly add salt. Add the chicken when the water is bubbling well and the salt is right.Check the sauces and adjust accordingly.Add the sesame oil. Saute. Add the cube sized capsicum and onion. Garnish with more spring onion and serve.
