  1. Thanks for the great info. Also worth mentioning is the jet can get clogged if you get some contaminated propane. The jet is typically the tiny but the sprays the gas out downstream from each valve on the grill. The hole is way too small to poke out but a solvent like carb cleaner or compressed air could blow out a partial clog.

  2. I absolutely despise those "safety features". I have 2 propane devices that wouldn't work no matter how slowly I opened the valve. It wasn't until removing the airsoft BB and spring did they work properly. Like every other government "feature" just delete it and your appliance will work great

  3. There is no need to open that valve all the way. The gas regulator isn`t letting much gas through it. Open it slowly a 1/2 turn, then follow with one full turn is usually plenty.
If you have a fire, turning off the tank valve is faster when its NOT opened all the way to begin with. SAFETY FIRST!

  4. Ugh, watching him use the channel locks on gas fitting, THEN, uses them backwards.
NEVER use pliers OR channel lock pliers on GAS FITTINGS that are made for wrenches!
Some people should never try to teach others, especially critical things, like messing with gas.

  5. lol now i see this.. 1st time it happened i replaced the reg and everything worked. 2 years later it did it again so i repalced it.. It didnt work. 2 days later it started working again. hmmm wish i saw this 2 years ago.. lol ty

  6. Good job explaining this stupid condition, it took me forever to figure this out, I even tried to return a rebuilt tank to the guy who rebuild’s them and was told get lost and blamed the gas station who refilled it.

  7. I purchased a used $5,600.00, 30" Solaire Infrared Grill on market place for $300.00. I was disappointed after a licensed gas/plumbing contractor installed it on my natural gas line. That went on for a year until I decided to move the unit. I disconnected all the gas lines and found this tiny in-line regulator that looked like a pipe coupling. I removed that and inspected it and it said 3.5 pounds psi, regulator. So that makes two regulators I had on the drill. I removed that and reinstalled everything. WOW, the grill turned into a flamethrower utilizing the infrared burners to their fullest. Getting the grill past 600 degrees. Now I understand why the guy sold it so cheap, whoever first installed it used a regulator as a coupling.
