  1. When I make potato salad & tuna macaroni salad, I add a [slight] teaspoon of sugar, a squirt of mustard & a squirt of Louisiana [red] hot sauce. You don't taste them but they add a depth to your salads. love your YTC & TYFS

  4. I sometimes add chopped or sliced black olives in my tuna salad. My husband does not like peas, so I do not use them. Also sometimes I add red bell pepper diced. I don't know the amount of olives or red bell pepper. Just enough for the right color and taste.

  5. A quick hack for the tuna casserole is to use a can of cream of mushroom soup instead of the roux sauce step. Just put the cooked noodles, can soup, a little milk ( about a cup, cheese and seasoning into a bowl then cover with cheese.

  6. My mom loves tuna, she used to make tuna pizza. Delicious!
Cover the crust with any white sauce like Alfredo or bechamel, drain 2 cans of tuna, add some salt and pepper, cover the pizza with it, add some chopped eggs on top, cover everything with cheese and bake. Try it! You'll love it!

  7. I always remembered canned tuna like this: solid white albacore was pure white and indeed solid or firm. Chunk light was usually just as solid as solid white and just about as white as solid white albacore, too. Over the last decade or so, no matter what variety or brand I purchase, they are all like beige oatmeal that has the consistency of mashed potatoes. When I try to squeeze the liquid out, the entire can is an emulsified mush that squirts out the sides. Is it just me?

  8. I am so lazy I put the eggs in with the noodles and peas and cook them in the same pot! I put them in a bowl of cold water and then keep exchange the cold water every few mins or so so I dont waste my ice.. Yes I am a taurus.. LOL
