Looking for award-winning desserts that are actually easy to make? In this video, Nicole shares four prize-worthy treats that start with simple shortcuts (like boxed mix and ready-made dough) but deliver big on flavor—and blue ribbons. These recipes have wowed county fair judges and state fair crowds, and now they’re ready for your kitchen.
She kicks things off with a Peaches & Cream Pie that magically forms its own crust using vanilla pudding mix, followed by a super-rich Too Much Chocolate Cake that’s taken home first prize. Next up: a classic All-Butter Pound Cake that’s a Kentucky blue ribbon winner, and finally, a Salted Two-Way Brownie made with boxed brownie mix, chocolate chip cookie dough, and a caramel drizzle that won over judges at the North Carolina State Fair.
Whether you’re baking for a crowd or just want something sweet and simple, these fair-tested desserts are guaranteed to impress.

I skip any recipe with "instant" @#%🙁! pudding.
I have been using this pound cake recipe since I was in my teens. I am 58 now. This is the recipe my momma always used, also. My kids love it too..
You are definitely my favorite of all time. A suggestion!! Another competitor of your Sugar Spun Run has great recipes also! The thing I love about her, is she sends out recipes on your internet, she show’s you a video of instructions & how to make the recipe and then she gives you the option of printing the recipe along with instructions. Oh! what a blessing this has been. No matter what, I just think you are a hoot & love your recipes., quick and to the point!!!😂
Hopefully cookbooks are in the works…DESSERTS, MAIN DISHES, SIDE DISHES, VEGAN MEALS the best chef’s encyclopedias!😆
That “Too much chocolate cake”. Is actually a Pillsbury Bake off winner cake from 1978. It is been my go to chocolate cake for ever.
You're the bomb!!
Oh my goodness Nicole! Just made your “Too Much Chocolate” cake. In lieu of water, I added coffee. Before it went in the oven, I sprinkled sea salt flakes on top. This cake is the best chocolate cake I’ve ever made and so easy. Oh and I made a raspberry sauce. Spooned it on the plate and set a slice of cake on top. My husband loves it 😋 Issaquah, WA 🇺🇸
Shouldn't be award-winning out of the box
😁😅😂🤣
All junk ingredients!
You would Never lose! We think you do amazing things! You are awesome ❤
Not to be a negative Nancy Karen but I have to say i would be totally pissed off if someone using boxed cakes and already made cookie dough beat my completely homemade dessert. 😂 so for me it's the peach dessert. That looks great.
I have nothing against boxed cake mixes! I discovered cake mix cookies and have not turned around. My latest concoction was spice cake mix, vanilla chips, then rolled in cinnamon sugar.
What is the cream cheese hack? What temp is the water?
I’ve never been comfortable cooking from a cook book but watching you cook, it takes away my fear.
thanks nicole looking great delicious wow , a delight youre a winner for me dear
It’s a Pake!!! A peach pake!! lol😂
Geeez I love this page all recipes . I will be a chef soon with all these great recipes . Thanks so much
Can you be my momma lol
pound cake came from England
Why would you think you would lose
Question: I recently moved to a home at 5,300 ft. elevation. Not all recipes give specific instructions for baking at high elevation. Are there any basic guidelines?
Can you help me with printing Allrecipe recipes. The name comes up the a blank page. Help please.
The Kentucky Butter Cake recipe I have is very similar but you poke holes in the top with a fork after baking and pour over a sugar butter sauce that gets absorbed by the cake. It’s my son’s fave and I make it every year for his birthday. I can’t wait to try this version. Thanks for another great video!
Peaches and cream pie is much better when it's still warm. It ends up cobbler-y but with what seems like warm ice cream on top. My lord, it's absolutely worth trying.
Are the chocolate chips, dark chocolate or milk chocolate
My grandmother used to make poundage and as a special treat for the grandkids shed take a thick slice of cake, top it with a circle of whipped cream and on top of that a canned peach half….she called it egg on toast and even now my great nieces and nephews love it!
yummy!
Nicole thanks for the chocolate cake recipe. I will make it being that I'm a chocolate lover !! What you did on another video with the bought pie, mix it up and rebaked, topped with ice-cream was genius. Looked like a homemade cobbler, LOVED IT !
Torani has made a PureMade Carmel Sauce that IS magnificent in flavor; any other brand can not now even come home to my cupboard 😉
Please, know how very and way beyond sugar, is how now they know that the high processing of vegetable oil has made it as NO Longer food and immensely toxic to our bodies…. butter IS sooo much better and extra flavorful!
Bundt pan enables your dessert to be wonderfully extra moist with it already 'stacked'
At 6:27 she kicks the oven door closed–I had to watch that a couple extra times. 😆😆
Thank you
