4th of July–inspired BBQ dinner for 4 people with just $20 at Dollar Tree

No grill? No problem. I made a full 4th of July–inspired BBQ dinner for 4 people with just $20 at Dollar Tree — and everything was cooked indoors using my oven and broiler. This is a cozy, budget-friendly cookout menu that still brings the flavor, even without the charcoal.

Here’s what’s on the plate:

Chili Cheese Dogs – hot dogs broiled for that grilled look, tucked into buns, topped with canned chili and cheddar, then baked to melty perfection.

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad – made with the boxed mix, mayo, plus chopped black olives, marinated red pepper, cubed cheddar and pepper jack, and a sprinkle of parmesan.

Elote-Inspired Corn Salad – broiled canned corn, tossed warm in a creamy cilantro-lime mayo dressing with parmesan and pepper jack cheese.

Baked Beans – two cans, heated and served. Because some things don’t need changing.

All from Dollar Tree. All under $20. All with no grill.

  1. This looks beyond delicious ! Just for next time it would be nice to incorporate more veggies (more greens if possible and more antioxidant rich foods such as yes greens, beets, carrots, broccoli, collard greens, spinach, kale, swiss chard etc)

  2. I love these short videos that share entire spreads ❤️
Question: what are your thoughts on baking the chili dogs uncovered? Does baking them covered result in the buns being kind of soggy?

  3. Great video. I do have 1 suggestion. Before you add the hot dogs, etc, you should brown the buns. This will help keep the bread from getting soggy or break up because of all the chili and dogs.
