I’ve been getting into meal prepping recently (I know, I am 100 yrs too late, lol). I find that meal planning and prepping helps save on time spent in the kitchen, especially on my really busy days and it helps me stay on point with my healthy eating habits. 

Smoothies are great for meal prepping and as you know, they are nutritious and healthy. However, depending on the ingredients and fruits you use, they can be pretty high in sugar. In this video, I share 5 low sugar smoothies, meal prep ideas and I also share how to sneak in a few unusual veggies that are a great substitute for bananas.

RECIPES
RED POWER SMOOTHIE 

2 small beetroots

1-1/2 cups baby spinach 

1 red apple

2 tbsp chia seeds

STRAWBERRY OATMEAL SMOOTHIE

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup greek yogurt 

1/2 cup strawberries 

Blanched cauliflower florets (1/4 cup)

2 tbsp hemp seeds

TROPICAL SUNRISE SMOOTHIE

1/2 cup pineapple 

1/2 cup mangoes

1 kiwi

Coconut flakes

GREEN GOODNESS SMOOTHIE 

1/2 cup spinach 

1/2 cup pumpkin leaves

1/2 of a medium cucumber 

1/2 of a medium avocado

1 green apple

2 tbsp Chia seeds

VEGGIE CHOC OATMEAL SMOOTHIE 

Handful spinach

1/2 of a medium avocado 

1/2 cup rolled oats

2 tsp maca powder

3 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp hemp seeds

Add 2 cups of plant milk or water to blend.
