5 minute Homemade Bread! The easiest bread you’ll ever bake.

• 560g flour
• 15g sugar
• 12g kosher salt
• 7g yeast (1 packet of instant yeast)
• 420ml warm water
* In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients and stir.
* Add warm water. Mix until everything is well incorporated and we have a dough. Hit the Follow button!
* Cover with plastic or aluminum and place in a warm corner of the house for 2 and a half hours.
* After two and a half hours, we will have a sticky dough, transfer it to a floured surface.
* Sprinkle a little flour on the dough and knead until we have a manageable dough. I used about half a cup of flour and kneaded for 3-5 minutes.
* Once the dough is ready, let it rest for 30-40 minutes in a covered basket or in a container covered with a towel or plastic.
* While the dough is fermenting, place a dutch oven in the oven (lol) and preheat to 450F *see notes*
* After 30 minutes, take the dutch oven out of the oven (carefully it will be hot) line with parchment paper and place the dough in the dutch oven. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
* After 30 minutes, remove the lid from the container, lower the temperature to 400F and continue baking for 10-15 more minutes, depending on how golden you want the crust.
* Remove from the oven and let it cool for half an hour and that’s it!

What is the Dutch oven for?
This will help us retain moisture, which will help our dough rise without forming a crust.
What container should I use? In this video I use a “Dutch oven” but you can use kettles, metal bowls, glass containers. The important thing here is that we cover it well so that the steam does not escape.
So how do we get a crispy crust? Once we uncover the container, the bread will begin to form a crust, since it will no longer be in a humid environment.
