  1. Gorgeous cakes. The lemonade cake is a beaut, but for me that chocolate drizzle cake takes the cake. Or rather, it's the cake I'd take, and the one I want to make. That chocolate glaze looks really easy and expedient. Melted butter, chocolate, and syrup. How does it compare to glaze or ganache made with chocolate and heavy cream? I imagine adding more fat and sugar doesn't make it less delicious. I don't always have heavy cream on hand, but I do have butter. I don't keep corn syrup in my pantry, but I expect a simple syrup (made of sugar and water) or perhaps honey, maple syrup or light molasses (depending on the flavor you like) would be a fine substitute. Without a stand mixer I avoid buttercreams, so this kind of frosting mixed in a bowl has a lot of appeal. Looks delicious and beautiful. I want to eat it with my eyes and my mouth.
