I tried the "poached" version today – I've boiled chicken for various recipes for 50 years now, but thought it was about time to try something different. I followed it to a T, and my chicken was only at 130 degrees after 15". Just a reminder to check the temp and not trust the timing. A little longer on the boil and a little longer on the covered phase, and I'm assuming it will be good to go – smells yummy for sure!
What crock pot brand do you use?
Thank you! Bummer I just boiled my chicken for my diet meals…now I know😊
Just found your channel. Im binge watching. Im 38 and just started liking to cook. I hadn't cooked in a long time. Your videos are super helpful
Great tips ! Thank-you Nicole. Just sent to my young adult kids. You’re helping people so much ! I love your videos- you are fun to watch and your food is excellent.
What kind of white wine do I use? I never used it before
This looks amazing!
Nicole I like a lot your style of cooking
It's interesting so far.
An amazing balance of sweet and sour.
Great video.
This was helpful thank you.
Love your videos!! Keep going!!
Perfect comfort food.
This is pure comfort.
This recipe is brilliant.
This makes me hungry.
Thank you very much for this
What about instant pot?
Thank you Nichole this was very informative! Can you do more on chicken, such as velveting, things to make it tender, and some yummy recipes using your pan technique?
Why does all chicken lately have terrible texture !?! I need to buy from my local farmer from now on.
Can't believe I didn't know about thos YT channel!?
I'm soooo excited I clicked as soon as I saw TJ meals. I've been binge watching & loving Nicoles personality🤩I feel like I'm hanging out with a friend in her kitchen 😂
I really, really like your videos. The tips and advice are great! And I am subscribed. I do need advice on keeping chicken moist, especially in an air fryer. (One other way I like to cook chicken for shredding is in my instant pot — but it's very similar to the poaching method you demonstrated.) So it's good to know. I do have one request. The last comments are funny sometimes and kinda cute, and I know it's just your style — but it is said softly and fast and sometimes hard to understand what you are saying. Maybe it's just me — a little older and it could be harder for me to process. 🙃 But it would be helpful if you could keep the volume about the same at the end. Thanks
Is there a particular white wine to cook with?
I love dry chicken, the dryer the better.
What brand of knives are you using?
Nicole, you’re cheating people. I know you’re using a temp probe. Teach properly please.
Timing and marinating does not make great chicken. Please teach people to use a proper temperature probe.
These are not good tips. There is no temping of chicken.
Why not teach to temp the chicken? That provides the best results regardless how it’s cooked.
Awesome info! Thank you
We have to be careful now because even organic chicken at Trader Joe's has been injecting the MRNA vaccine into its poultry. The FDA is allowing it to be put in all our food. This is bad especially for the people that don't want the clot shot.
Brine it the night before. Works every time.
What kind of white wine do use use? And how long did u bake ?
Boils the chicken, says it's delicious, then says not to boil it. OK. Dafug.
BTW, if you have a lot of chicken, tear it into large chunks, then use your mixer to shred it. If it seems a little dry, add water or a broth for more flavor and moisture. This is also a great time to add mayo or any sauce you might be using.
Your tips are great! And you are beautiful!!
Yum!!! 👏
0:50 you season with garlic/onion/pepper…no salt???
❤❤❤
The best way to prepare poached/ cooked chicken is in the Instant Pot using the zero-minute method.
