Watermelon looks disgusting!!!!!!
Was just reading about Scotch eggs (Scotch egg is mentioned in an insurance commercial). It's a boiled egg, covered in ground pork sausage, then breaded and deep-fried.
The boiled egg, covered in meatloaf, wrapped in bacon, then grilled is apparently an updated Scotch egg. Everything's better with bacon! ๐ฅ
While pineapple and meat don't go together with my palate, I accept that some people like it.
What I can't accept is when people are too cheap and cut off too little from the outside of a pineapple. When there are still brown spots visible on the fruit when you have trimmed it down, you have still cut off too little. Those little brown spots are the bases of the thorny leaves on the outside of the pineapple. They contain a mild toxin that for most people results in numbness of the lips, and even may cause strong allergic reactions with blisters in the mouth right up to throat swelling. So don't be cheap, and learn to trim down a pineapple completely.
Otherwise it is probably a great recipe for people who like these types of fruit and meat combos.
