Lupin flour is the BEST soup thickener. Doesn't get slimy like glucomanaan or xanthan gum.
I enjoy your content. Having bought and wasted expensive ingredients on keto recipes in the past, it's helpful to have someone to review them to know what's worth trying and what isn't.
That said, I just wanted to ask if you're doing alright. The past several of your videos I've watched you seem a little low energy compared to earlier videos. Maybe I'm just imagining it and you just weren't into doing more microwave bread. But just want to drop a comment to say: Take care, my man. Hope you're doing well.
I finally got my butter powder today from Amazon and made CCN recipe, including the yeast and it was the closest tasting thing I have had to bread that is carnivore! Quite yummy. I split the batter for a single recipe in thin layers across two shallow 4" moulds and got two bun halves, no hole in the bottom 😊

Had a thought on the giant bubbles: Perhaps the problem is that you are getting a clump of baking powder. Try mixing the dry ingredients seperately very thuroughly, then add into the wet and see if that doesn't even out the bubbles a bit.
To eliminate the eggie flavor on 90 sec bread, you just need to add 1/2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to the batter. 😁
The whole idea is to kill the cravings for breads, high carbs & sugar! lol!! Exactly why most people fail! I`m not giving you a hard time, just saying!
I've been making a very similar lupin flour biscuit to this one from a recipe that was on the old Netrition Low Carb Friends blog from the early 2000's, when you had to order lupin flour from specialty websites. The recipe I use has sour cream and xanthan gum in it as well as heavy whipping cream, butter, and eggs, and I bake the batter in muffin tins in the oven. I often put a little sweetener in it and use it like cake to make strawberry shortcake. It's terrific!
I like the idea of making a microwave mug bread with it, so I'm going to adjust the recipe I have to make it like this, so I don't have a bunch of lupin flour mini cakes hanging around.

I've been making the lupin flour bread for years for my husband. It's the closest to real bread I've seen. He is not sensitive to any of the ingredients and lost weight with it. Yes it has vital wheat gluten, oat fiber so may not be fir everyone
Lower power (7) longer time (120) will lessen air pocket problem and won’t rise as much. Experiment with your microwave. Also, Chris says two tablespoon of butter in Video, but only has one on recipe. I found the two was not as dry.

For Chris’s 90 sec bread I divided the batter between two ramekins, reduced cooking time a bit, to prevent the air pockets and made two buns
Wes I really appreciate your recipe battles. I had recently tried Chris's carnivore 90 sec bread & I thought WoW this is pretty dang good, but it was a tad dry for me. I learned from YOU that using Whey Isolate would further contribute to this 'dry' factor, which I didn't actually pick up reading the comments from Chris's own video! So I will most definitely be changing that up next time also I didn't have Powdered Butter so I did the 1 more TBsp of Whey variant. But meanwhile, also from you, your reaction to the LUPIN recipe made me remember, hey I bought a bag of Lupin that I never actually DID anything with (I believe it MAY have been to try mixing up Victoria's 2.0 Keto Flour, but who knows anymore), point is I had some on hand, so just a short time ago I whipped that up. Sliced it, Toasted it and taste tested it, plain, with butter, with cream cheese, and then finally with a base of butter, a generous smear of Cream Cheese & topped with Everything Bagel seasoning. O_M_G the final outcome with the EB seasoning was amazing, and like nothing I've ever eaten to date as a "Bread substitute" While it's first hot after initial microwaving, it smells pretty eggy, and has a LIGHT eggy taste, but once it cools it reduces, and after toasting it pretty much goes away. I'm not sure this LUPIN recipe will be sturdy enough to hold up to a burger patty as a hamburger bun to be honest, but because it's so simple to whip up it will definitely enter a new top favorite slot for general bread purposes. I will most definitely try this as 'garlic bread' & happily use it for general sammich purposes etc. This is a recipe I'd likely never have stumbled across on my own w/o your recipe battle, so again, THANK YOU!
I did try the On and Off Keto Lupin bread, because I have wondered for some time whether this would be possible but didn't have the time to experiment. Grateful she did. Amazing!

Thank-you so much for providing providing this video. I had some lupin flour so I tried the On and Off Keto recipe. Pretty good, although I don't think my gut may be fully on board with eating it. There was some pretty noxious off gas in the fart sack last night. Normally I use pork panko to make buns and bake them in the oven using a silicone bun mold rather than the microwave. I'm going to try a couple of the lupin flour buns with everything bagel topping in the oven to see what happens. Good luck all!

The Keto Kitchen on Youtube has a video called Lupin Flour American Biscuits. I tried these several months ago and they are really good with the butter and parsley on top. The main ingredients are lupin flour, almond flour, baking powder, shredded cheese, unsweetened almond milk, heavy cream, salted butter, and 1 egg. You use the oven method for this one.

I have made Chris cooking Nashville’s recipe twice now using both the yeast and the butter powder. I made a grilled cheese sandwich out of it and it was unbelievable. I do have some lupin flour in the freezer. I might have to try that recipe.
