Watched your first video at the Grill expo with Napolean 7 years ago. Last year, I saw them at my friendly hardware store and remembered your great reviews and black Friday ordered a Prestige 500. Great grill and battery lights, but plug in rotisserie and small wheels, which I'll be upgrading to a bigger size for the yard. Thanks for your videos!!!
I really like your videos because they're educational plus very funny !! You're an absolute MONSTER on the grill brother !! Fan of yours for a long time now!!
Cheers
This years version has a plug into itself for the rotisserie so that only one plug goes to the wall outlet.
Mine gets delivered in 9 days!
wife bought me a Napoleon prestige pro 500 for my birthday which is may 21 just unboxed it looks beautiful going to put it to the test this week end coming up ribs and chicken. grilling is my 2nd best hobby future comment to come
Great product. Overpriced because of Canadian labour rates. Just buy the exact same thing from China.
Nice grill I think that’s the one I want .👍
3 years after purchase, Numerous parts are failing on my Napoleon which indicates lack of quality:
The black inscriptions indicating which burner is controlled by which knob is rubbing off everywhere, electrical outlets in back no longer have spring closure (broke), the plastic rings on the burner controls are cracking, the temp gauge reads 200deg F even when its 40 deg outside.
I contacted Napoleon directly to ascertain warranty coverage…2018 models had Lifetime Bumper-to Bumper Warranty which covers some things indefinitely, some things for 15 yrs and many parts for 2 years. As a COURTESY they would supply me with new decals to place on the grill (cant wait to see how that looks), and the rest of the parts would be at a discounted price! I expressed my dismay that an allegedly premium product with a premium price point would want to charge their customer ~ $100….this amount is miniscule compared with the $3500 I paid for the grill and accessories… This $ 100 is not generating any real revenue for them but is generating a lot of bad will for the customer. Napoleon's representative Kat did not care.
I would definitely consider purchasing a grill from another manufacturer. At this price point, customer service and standing behind the product is imperative; sadly Napoleon has not figured that out.
that's crazy and awesome that this grill has a bottle opener. such a convenient and simple thing…but why has it never been done before this one?!!!
For that price point it better fecking have lights and the rest of the bells and whistles!

This is how bad this grill will look after less than 3 years
I was a a sworn adherent to the American made Weber grill for many years. It was made in the Chicago area and is a great grill with many options and features and I owned several of them over the years. I rebuilt one Genisis model four times between 1994 and 2008. A coworker suggested I look at the Napoleon when I told him I was switching over to natural gas. I ended up buying the Prestige Pro because of the many features and the extras that were thrown in like the charcoal insert , the pizza stone, the utensil set, the handle lights, the rotisserie kit, and the grill cover. I think there was a marketing program at the time that included these items in the sale. This was not a cheap grill but it has stood the test of time and has been the centerpiece of my backyard ever since. This grill does it all. One minor flaw is the the graphics wore off after a few years Also, the cool blue lights don’t work because the batteries corroded. I agree that one power strip to service the whole grill and any other appliances would have been better design but this thing is a workhorse otherwise. For gas grilling at home I am still very pleased after about 10 years of solid service, winter and summer, several times a week. A good cleaning once or twice a year and the grill looks like new, except for those worn out graphics. I still use the Weber for charcoal grilling but the Napoleon is a great choice for anyone looking for a dependable gas grill.
This guy had another beer on the other side lmfao hahahahaha
Great video….agree that needing an outlet is problematic. As for the lights they could have them use battery power which would have been great.
Are those lights dimmable. I like them, but they look a little to bright for my liking even in daylight. So at night I guess it's no better.
how long to reach 370 degrees?
Stainless Steel all? I had one at my Clubhouse and it caught fire… it melted. 🙁 I have video! and Napoleon would not replace it under warranty. Any suggestion? Its a $700 repair
Napoleon 825 vs Weber summit grill center. Go!

Is it possible to cook a turkey on the rotisserie?
Pitmaster, in your review of the new Napoleon you bemoaned that this grill (as well as nost others) have wheels that are very small and thus are hard to roll around rough and uneven surfaces. I've had this problem for years and it was quite a pain until about five years ago I came up with a solution. I have a small ranch in California. Depending on the weather, especially the wind, I need to move my grill around my property, including my pasture area. Well, my solution was not to use the small wheels that come with most every grill. Instead I built a frame of 2×6 inch lumber that I attached the the bottom of the main body of the grill. Under the wooden frame I attached four 8 inch wheels with pneumatic rubber tires. two of the wheels are fixed and the other two pivot so they allow me to steer my grill over almost any terrain on my property easiley. This solution works great and it raises the entire unit about six inches higher that the standard wheels did, which is a plus for me because I'm over six feet tall. I've made this adaptaion on several grills and found that with a little carpenter skill it can be applied to virtual every wheeled grill and the cost is only about 50 dollars U.S.
well I got this Napoleon and I love it but I had a lot of issues with the lights in the knobs. Napoleon and my local dealer are helping me with that , it is getting better .Besides the lights this is the best grill for the money . By the way I like your review and the previous one about the bigger Pro grill from Napoleon. Gr 8 job.
Great video, I'll have to find the one where you cook the porchetta and this! I have had a Prestige Pro 500 for 4 years now. I keep it covered during the winter and it still looks great. I use the orange spray degreaser to keep it clean and it does a fantastic job (Home Depot carries it). I have never been happier with cooking steaks or chicken than since I purchased this grill. It makes perfect food. Try using the infrared to crisp up pancetta for a topping to a steak. Why not 🙂
Kalamazoo is the best, but it’s so expensive
In Denmark the pro 500 is priced around 3.300 Us. It is a expensive cooking appliance..
bought Napoleon Legend barbeque for $1000 about 4 years ago.
On the first day I discovered that even small wind blows the flames off due to the poor design with gas exposed to other burners. Very dangerous.
After 2 years ceramic layer peeled off from the cast iron cooking grids.
And all inside burner stainless steels parts were covered with rust.
Stainless steel drip pan was covered with thick rust and holes.
Service support refused to provide parts and service despite 25 year warranty period.
I would never buy this product again and do not recommend it.
I live here in Canada in Hamilton Ontario 52 years. I have owned many bbqs up to this point cook in the doorway of my rollup door in my garage. Winter Summer and in between.Picked one of these up this summer to replace the 3 year old Cuisinart ceramic yea the ceramic stones disintegrated to replace 2 thirds the cost of the bbq not going there. Bit the bullet picked it up works very well so far sear station amazing. I think this is the last bbq I will ever buy.We will see Just saying.

Weber Genesis II E-340 or Napoleon – which would you go for?
Hi, hows the lid is it stainless..what kind of warranty with this brand. Is quality better then a weber?
I will buy one later this summer when it goes on sale
De Best
Anyone who used it could tell me if he saw a lot of flare-up ?
Greetings from your neighbors to the south. I'm replacing my 12 year old weber with a Prestige Pro 665. Wanted the 825 but it's too big for the space I have for the grill. So, at least here in the U.S., they are popular. Place where I'm getting mine said he sold 8 of the 665's last season alone. But I agree about the power outlets, too bad they didn't have an on-board dual socket. I have a outdoor GFCI with 6ft cord that I'll run to my grill (problem solved). Great grill and deciding factor, it's made in Canada. and FWIW, my grill is going to cost about 3400.00 US. Cheers.
I have owned this grill for a year. Easily falls into my top 10 best purchases ever. I was out in January in -12(windchill -25) and it still got up to 700 degrees. Its just a game changer. I love cooking on this 2 or 3 times a week. I passed on the weber summit and I am so glad I did because all the bells and whistles really make this a patio centerpiece. I love it. Its an absolute beast, its like having a full kitchen in my backyard.
Just bought the prestige 500 today. Can’t wait to fire it up. Nice video.
