I've been making a coffee cake almost like this for years. I just use the streusel topping with pecans in it as the layer between the batter and as the topping. Yummmmy!

It's a good recipe, but it's waaaaaaay too sweet.
At least 1/3 of sugar can be dropped.
Otherwise, it's very good 😊

I think hand beating is always best (throughout), & also not overbearing the batter, which then gives a much nicer crumb.
