$3,300 is CRAZY for a drop in gas grill.
Chef Tony: I am down to 2 finalist grills in the Premium category. Blaze Pro Lux 34" and the Coyote S Series 36". Blaze TRL is out because I don't like the SS U-tube burners. Prefer the cast SS type. From a build, cooking performance and reliability perspective, which of the 2 do you prefer / recommend? And why? (Note: I wish the Blaze Pro had a slide in/out LP tray, but that is N/A as I understand it).
The more I look at the Coyote S series the more impressive it is in a lot of ways. In comparing to them much more expensive (roughly 2x the cost) options like Hestan, Lynx, and Alfresco you see higher BTU burners at 25k-27.5k vs the Coyote's 20k… though when you look at the 36" option I notice that the Coyote includes one more burner. At those sizes the more expensive options typically have two basic burners with one sear burner. While the Coyote has 3 burners and a sear one. When you look at them (your old review videos all have a really good top down view of the grills burners as a whole layout, the one thing I think is missing from these new videos) you can see the Coyote might even have better placement distribution (whether or not that translates to performance will be interesting as you do these more thorough reviews) and basically the same BTUs once you factor in that extra burner. Really impressive for the price and considering comparable materials (the others feature more premium burner materials by a notch though to be fair) and comparable warranty. Of course USA vs China made though, so that's a big difference and though I'm not some USA super nationalist person I do totally like the idea of supporting USA jobs, though even compared to the other Chinese options the Coyote seems to really hit above it's weight (and the C class is super impressive considering it has these same burners, though you do give up the infrared sear and rotisserie burners).
Your new review format is awesome. Especially getting the detailed metrics like thickness of various components, temps, etc to more objectively compare. Do you guys plan on updating each of your grill reviews with this same info, would be great to compare.
Love coyote!
