Please God stop frying turkeys. I'm so sick of watching all these epic fail videos of these morons trying to fry a turkey. It's NOT worth the trouble. For all the extra trouble you go thru, It will not taste that much better. There are safer, and more effective methods to cook a turkey that will give you the same result.
I love this woman
I bet this babe is an ABSOLUTE GOWER! cheeks clapping endlessly
Off topic but you are fine!!!😍
Concrete patio isn't ideal unless you want oil stains on your concrete.
Great advice 👍and don't forget to pad down dry the turkey avoid any liquid from the big bird. Also take out the gizzards from inside the turkey. 🤔👍
Use an electric turkey fryer!
Unfortunately I had a close friend die from frying a turkey but only after spending month in agony in a burn unit 😢 Just don’t be stupid and try this!!!
You talk too much mothafacka!
Man, I do it on the stovetop at home. Frozen turkey, oil as hot as possible and lots of it… 🙂👍🏼
Durrr
So much missing from this tutorial.
1-Well away from house on flat surface
2-pre measure oil amount frozen bird in water. Leaving minimal 3-5 inches from lid (don’t come all the way up or it will overflow)
3-fully thaw, THEN pat dry bird
4- wear proper attire long pants, and leather shoes, do not stand too close to fryer when dropping bird in.
5-set up your area
-fire extinguisher
-foil around gas line
-bring oil up to temp prior frying
-TURN GAS OFF when gently placing bird in oil
-turn gas back on and monitor temperature
6-turn gas off before evacuating bird from oil.
Recommend watch turkey frying failures to understand what can happen when things go wrong.
**Watch Alton Browns tutorial***
Fried Turkey is quick and surprisingly delicious and worth the effort as long as care is taken.
Bake a goose instead, then you save on a lot of equipment redundancy/oil.
Best advice is to just get an indoor electric turkey fryer that doesn’t use an open flame. Works like any other electric deep fryer and can’t catch on fire. I LOVE my MasterBuilt XL turkey fryer. Bought one for myself after seeing my employer use one for years for the work Thanksgiving luncheon.
Two most important things. Premeasure your oil, and have a proper grease fire extinguisher handy.
Patios or concrete driveways are a disaster waiting to happen!!!!!!!
If the pot gets knocked over, and it’s happened, the hot oil will spread out everywhere.
The first thing you should do is put the frozen turkey in the pot that you are going to use and fill it with water so you know how much oil is needed so it doesn’t overflow when you put the bird in.
Meh.. between a deep fried turkey and a roasted one, I still prefer the roasted.
There's an even older saying… Fire and stupid don't mix
Thanks, like many other people, I live alone in an apartment. I won't be frying a turkey.
