I'm vegan and I found this recipe yesterday before I went to the store and buy the ingredients. I veganized the recipe, just changed the mayo to vegan mayo which tastes very similar, and it was definitely a hit at my work's potluck and at my boyfriend's work too. It is super good. Will definitely be making again.

Just smacked my first try on this into the fridge. Here's hoping, although I am a bit skeptical due to what must have been a gross miscalculation of how much "16 ounce" macaroni is on my end so had to wing the dressing to macaroni ratio quite a bit. 😆

As someone who isn’t American and not super familiar with your local food culture, the fact that most recipes for macaroni salad, a dish that seems inherently savory and definitely is not dessert, call for a 1/2 to 2/3rd cup of sugar is both mind boggling and fascinating. How??? Why???
