Bistek Tagalog is the Filipino version of Beef Steak. It is also called Bistek or sometime Beef Steak Tagalog. Contrary to regular beef steaks, bistek is cooked in soy sauce and calamansi or lemon. It has a sour and salty flavor that just goes well with the meat. It also makes use of sliced red or white onions, which adds additional flavor to the dish.

  1. Thank you for the tips. I tried this many times and its so delicious 😋. However, I added boiled broccoli and mushroom to put together with onions (last part) and while marinating I added home made wine. Super sarap at nagustuhan ng husband and in-laws ko.Salamat ulit 😊😁

  2. From watching and trying many of your delicious recipes, I've discovered that adding lemon or lime juice to meat dishes is so good. I never cooked meat with citrus and it adds so much amazing flavor. Even if I cook just a basic steak I now always top it off with a squeeze of fresh  lemon. It's very good.
