You can also make lumpia with mung beans sprouts too and it’s the best! There’s nothing like it! It’s called Lumpiang Togue and it is scrumptious dipped in coconut vinegar. 😊
we really must remedy this turon erasure-
for our friends outside of the philippines! sweet lumpia — Turon. that’s its government assigned name. thank you very much
Now I can just send this video to my coworkers every time they ask me to bring lumpia to work! The "secret" is out!
We don’t food processor our filling for lumpia Shanghai…. It’s to each his own though
that's a lot of meat!!!! yum!
Yummy lumpia! Best ❤❤
Making lumpia simple is the best because most Filipinos before didn't have all these tools just a knife. The more home made for me the yummier! And usually all this is a social activity. I remember my mom would do it with others maids or other women in the family or friends present.
Loved this! I do actually like dipping it in the sauce made here. The acid cuts through the richness, so one eats more! Lol. But yes, banana ketchup and sweet chili sauce are great as well. Can also add chopped onions in that vinegar.
Hey! Our Lolas (Grandmothers) add something special which you ought to try– which is adding chopped chinese cilantro or kinchay. That's tradition 🙂
Been eating this during potluck especially every Christmas. As someone who loves dimsoms and other easy to eat and pair food this is a must try. So this is how it's made….. looks easy but not easy I don't know 😂. Maybe just wait until December, I'll surely have this for free.
Why you all American's making simple Asian food making it so complicated 😂 you don't have to use ruler to measure it , use your instincts or rather your brains 😅
Finally an authentic lumpiang Shanghai including the sauce !!!! Eto ang tunay!
sukang what???
Its not an egg roll, it's a wheat wrap that's fried, closer to a spring roll.
In the Philippines, we just throw the minced onion, grated carrots, chopped celery and ground pork and seasoning all in a bowl and mix them together with a big spoon or clean bare hand . Egg is optional since the stuffing is sticky and won't leak out during frying.
Add on fresh Cilantro….. the tastes is so good. Everytime we have a potluck at work i always bring two kinds of Lumpia , one vegetarian and 2nd is vegetable and meat within 5min its gone 😅
🇵🇭 present
Vietnamese eggrolls are 10 times better.
I am Filipino. This particular Lumpia doesn’t have ginger
Can you make a veggie lumpia. My friend makes it with sweet potato, jicama, tofu, green beans, garlic, onions.
