The Best BEEF ADOBO Recipe | Masarap na ADOBONG BAKA
INGREDIENTS:
Beef Meat Bone-in – 1 kilo
Minced Garlic – 40 grams
Diced Onion – 80 grams
Tomato – 60 grams
Potato – 5 pieces
Soy sauce – 3 tbsp
Oyster Sauce – 2 tbsp
Vinegar – 3 tbsp
Crushed Black Pepper – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Bay Leaves – 1 piece
Crushed Chili – 1 tsp
Sprite or 7-up – 280 ml
Water – 1 cup
Cooking Oil – 3 tbsp

If with tomato it will be a mechado. It's soy sauce and vinegar . Yes , Laurel leaf is the identifying factor for adobo.
I thought adobo was a mexican thing, a lot of filipino comments so adobo must have a Spanish origin.

Toyo, suka, peppercorn, garlic, and bay leaves. That's all! Once you put potatoes, you ain't a Filipino. On the side, it's a good recipe. Thus, you should claim it and give it a name, but not Adobo.
Adobo b ika mo? With sugar? With tomato? With sprite? Try braised beef with potato and sweet sauce.
This is what I am going to do with the hunk of beef in my fridge. It is boneless beef blade, well aged. I will pressure cook instead so the ligaments and connective tissues becomes tender. I don't agree with "blanching out the impurities" and throwing away the blanching water. The froth is only not esthetically pleasing but it is part of the beef flavor. No one will notice the froth once it is cooked into the resulting sauce. It is like throwing away the essence and flavor of the beef. Thank you for sharing.

sa totoo lang ang adobo di naman ginigisa wala yang mga oyster at soy sauce atsuete lang sa amin bawang at sebuyas lang tapos vetsin at asukal lang ihalo lang lahat tapos palambutin yan ang orig na adobo
