disgusting. First of all, you need to get the loaf and shape it by hand and put it on a rack, and if you don't have a rack, you need to put it in a big wide pan. Secondly, you need to put raw onions in it. Thirdly, fuck, that is nasty shit you just made.

Could have used more onion and no need to sautee it you just lose all the texture. It softens enough when you bake it that long.
When I make meatloaf or meatballs or anything like this, I use a potato masher to mix the ground meat and other ingredients. Keeps the raw meat off my hands, and keeps the meat from warming up.

My family has used horseradish mayo in meatloaf for many years instead of sour-cream and tomato sauce. It adds a kick and keeps the meat moist. Great stuff – try it

I respectfully disagree the Best meatloaf is in a book called, 'Stay for Supper.' It's version calls for ricotta cheese and spinach. they also have a chunky tomato sauce to go with it.
